BMW Plug-in Hybrid Sedan Concept 2013

The prototype is powered by a parallel hybrid drive set-up that combines a 214 HP combustion engine featuring BMW TwinPower Turbo technology with an electrical motor that adds another 93 HP. The electrical motor takes its power from a special battery technology which includes the possibility of charging from a mains power supply.

BMW Brilliance Automotive will reveal at the Shanghai Auto Show a premium-segment plug-in hybrid sedan concept based on a long wheelbase version of the BMW 5 Series Sedan, developed exclusively for the Chinese automobile market and produced at the Shenyang site. Production version will begin in China in 2013.

When running purely on electrical power, it is possible to travel emission-free for up to 46 miles at a constant speed of 37 mph. Use of the combustion engine provides a minimum additional range of 248 miles, which is in line with the driving profile of Chinese customers in the premium segment.

Garage Revolution Mazda RX-7

For the exterior the car gets a carbon fiber front bumper, rear bumper and quarter panels, front fenders, side skirts, front and rear canards, rear diffuser, rear hatch, doors, hood and GT Wing; Craft Square dry carbon fiber side mirrors. For the interior Garage Revolution added a roll cage for the driver’s safety, carbon fiber dash, center console, transmission tunnel and floor, custom gear selector and linkage, shift knob, reverse selector; AP Racing air jack kit, brake bias selector and adjustable pedal box.

Garage Revolution has prepared a very cool Mazda RX-7 for the World Time Attack Challenge. Their RX-7 is powered by a 13B turbo engine that has received a 50mm exhaust manifold, 80mm front pipe, 80mm full titanium exhaust, custom airbox, custom cooling ducts for turbine, MoTeC M2R ECU and boost control solenoid. The result is an impressive 600 HP and with a total weight of 2204 lbs you can only imagine the level of performance it will deliver.

Ginetta F400 model 2011

The name ’F400’ actually wasn’t the car’s first name. Matter of fact, Ginetta actually didn’t build the car, either. That distinction belongs to Farboud, which conceived, designed, and developed the car back in 2002 as the GTS. But for one reason or another, the Farboud GTS project never got off the ground and in March of 2010, the rights to the brand and the car were officially sold to Ginetta.

If you’ve ever heard of Ginetta Cars and they’re flagship supercar, the F400, then you need to pat yourself on the back for actually knowing the story behind this British supercar.
For all of its backstory, the F400 still remains a largely unnoticed supercar. But in the year that has passed since Ginetta acquired Farboud and the GTS, the only way for the F400 to go is up.

Toyota FT-86 II Concept stars in Gran Turismo 5

With this trailer, the FT-86 II has been added to the very long list of cars to be featured in GT5. And all we can say is enjoy your ride, at least until you will actually enjoy the real car!

Until Toyota will decide to finally bring the production version FT-86 sports car, the only possibility to actually drive the FT-86 II Concept car is while playing Gran Turismo 5 video game. Well, at least is something, even if the trailer is obviously created by CGI.
Refresher: the FT-86 II Concept made its debut early this year at the Geneva Motor Show and according to the company it will be most realistic preview of the production version set to arrive in 2012. The sports car is rumored to be powered by a 2.5-liter boxer-four engine that produces 305 HP - an engine shared with its Subaru sibling.

Audi Q3 model2012

There isn’t a whole lot of juiciness to the photos so getting a good look of the Q3 isn’t possible, but that is what spy shots are all about. Sometimes, you get everything you need in one photo whereas other times, you’re going to have to piece a lot of them together to get a concrete idea of what the car looks like. Nevertheless, we’ve dug up enough information on the Q3 to make up for the graininess of the photos

Audi’s Q-Series is about to get a baby brother after the long-awaited Audi Q3 is nearing its scheduled release in the second half of 2012.
Audi has officially announced through a press release the official debut of the highly anticipated Audi Q3. For those that have been earnestly waiting to catch a glimpse of the car, the Q3 has officially been penciled in for the Shanghai Auto Show later this month. There are also five sketches of the small SUV that will help you making an idea on how it will look like

2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT640 Golden Snake

Based on this power vehicle, US car specialist GeigerCars.de from Munich now placed the company's youngest show car on its wheels: the Ford Mustang Shelby GT640 "Golden Snake". The name absolutely reflects the mission of the company!

Anybody who was once able to drive a Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500, knows of what earthy power outbreaks the current generation of this automobile legend is capable of even when it operates with factory settings: smoking rear tyres are not a problem even in higher gears and, once incited, the GT500 becomes a wild animal. Logically, it has its radiator grill with very good reason: the cobra with a widened sign on the neck stands for pure aggressiveness.

The 5.4 litre V8 has been prescribed a large 2.3 litre compressor as well as a Geiger stainless steel sport exhaust system, so that the eightpointer - after a mandatory software adaptation - sends now a wailing, whopping 640 PS (series: 548 PS) to the back wheels. The mechanically loaded engine produces 789 Nm on the crankshaft at the highest point of the torque. After picking up strength, the Mustang catapults itself in only 3.7 seconds to 100 km/h and reaches a top speed of 295 km/h.

2011 Koenigsegg CCR EVO 817

Since the V8 engine is being force-fed by twin superchargers, the main focus was on the setup of the two Rotrex units. With assistance from the manufacturer the drive ratio was modified and the ECU was remapped to accommodate the hardware changes. The aim was to increase the power output while maintaining a broad torque curve over the whole rev range. With the new drive ratio the engine hits its torque peak earlier and puts out up to 891 horsepower, depending on the level of tune. In order to ensure long term reliability of the superchargers, the engine redline was lowered to 7,200 rpm.

When it comes to high quality modifications for supercars, edo competition Motorsport GmbH is one of the most established names in the business. Regardless of make and model, the edo team is always looking for ways to refine and optimize. That's also why the owner of a Koenigsegg came to us. Not entirely happy with the power of his Swedish exotic and looking to improve the drivability as well as the appearance, he tasked edo competition with the job of making it happen.

Additional changes were made to the design of the vehicle's interior and exterior. The wheels for example underwent a beauty treatment and received a coat of charcoal paint. The updated front with auxiliary lights now resembles the later CCR models, and the Alcantara material that was used throughout the Koenigsegg's cabin provides a more luxurious feel. The redesigned center console now accommodates a new infotainment system including a reversing camera as well as a custom-made pouch for the immobilizer remote. For safety reasons a TPM system now informs the driver about tire pressures and temperatures. The display was integrated into the dashboard.

2011 VW Scirocco

Originally from the 2009, Scirocco III was equipped with a turbocharged engine with an in-house body kit consisting of a single-frame front grille, side skirts and a rear apron from the O-Line-Design, the upper and lower rear wings, "bad-look" headlight trims and a stainless steel rear silencer with suitable outlets.

After several years of hesitation, VW - not least because of pressure from the customers - has won through to reanimation of its warm Mediterranean wind Scirocco. Good news, because many professional tuners have in the meantime put into action their version of a still further perfected Scirocco. Thus, the company CSR Automotive from Nurnberg is in a good company, but it presents a stunning version of the Mediterranean wind that has no parallels.

The alpha and omega of any redevelopment continues to be a successful tire / wheel combination that can never be spectacular enough. And now - once again - Schmidt Revolution (www.FELGE.de) from Bad Segeberg comes into play. Thanks to its rims Cirrus with carbon-look parts (wheel assembly costs 3400 euro) in the dimensions of 8.5x20" with 235/30 ZR20 tires from Toyo at the front or 10.5x20" with 285/25 ZR20 - at the rear axles, Schmidt comes near to the ideal of "perfect footwear" for the Scirocco.

Mercedes C-Class model 2014

Following the usual trend lines, the C-Class Convertible will also get an AMG version, but while the entry level models will get a four-cylinder engine, the AMG version will use the same 5.5 biturbo V8 engine used in the CLS63 AMG. The only difference provided for the engine will be that power will be reduced to about 420 HP compared to the current 525 HP. Customers will also have the possibility of opting for a Performance Package that will increase the total output to about 450 HP. This will ensure a 0 to 60 mph sprint of about 5 seconds, while top speed will be limited to 155 mph.

Now that Mercedes has a sedan and a coupe version for the C-Class, anyone would expect to find a convertible staring at them in the near future. These people would absolutely be right, but the new convertible may contain a few differences compared to the current C-Class models. While the general design lines will remain the same, the C-Class Convertible model will not compete with the usual BMW 3-Series and Audi A5. Instead, Mercedes may be opting for a model that will be placed in a class below these competitors. This decision shouldn’t be too surprising considering the company has just brought the E-Class Convertible on the market and offering a similar model wouldn’t make good business sense.

2011Mercedes-Benz Concept A-Class

This is the Mercedes-Benz Concept A-Class, and oh dear Lord, does it look mighty divine. We can’t get enough of the concept’s overall design, especially that sharp as a tack, starry, starry night-inspired grille. Of course, we don’t expect each and every element of the Concept A-Class to make it to the production version, but at the very least, we know the direction Mercedes is taking with their hatch-segment models.

Just when there were doubts about the future of MercedesA-Class, the German automaker comes out and releases what is arguably the hottest looking hatchback concept we’ve seen in a while.

The car is scheduled to be premiered at both the Shanghai Auto Show and the New York Auto Show this month. Whatever show you’re attending, or at least keeping tabs on, be sure to check out the Mercedes booth and keep an eye out on this hot, hot hatch.

Yeah, no more of those box-shaped, minivan-looking cars whose only redeeming value was that it had the brand’s tri-star logo on it. But the new Concept A-Class really is something else. it’s got edge, it’s got attitude, and it’s got class.
